Our client is seeking a Controller to oversee the management of the Finance and Accounting functions and staff in a Family Office located in Santa Monica.
What you’ll do:
Serving as a key member of the senior leadership team, this role is highly visible and will work directly with the COO and Principal. This position will manage a small F&A team, oversee the general ledger for multiple entities, bookkeeping, bill paying, financial statements, liquidity, cash flow reporting, taxes, payroll, insurance, etc. position handles sensitive information, maintains confidential documents and reports, manages special events and project requests.

The individual must be engaged hands-on in the day to day activities and have a “no job too small nor too job too big” attitude. Must have a proven track record of putting the best interests of the Employer first.
What you’ll need:
- 15+years of progressive Financial Management experience in complex, demanding environments
- 10+years’ experience with General Ledger
- Experience in a Family Office setting (single or multi-family) or with a high net worth family business preferred.
- Strong financial reporting, analytical, communication, budgeting and forecasting skills
- Bachelors’ Degree required
- CPA and/or MBA highly preferred
